Melton Botanic Garden Guided Tour 2025 Seniors Festival
Friends Of The Melton Botanic Garden
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
During the Seniors Festival take a guided walking tour through the north section of the Melton Botanic Garden to see plants that tolerate a dry climate.  The leisurely walk is about one and half hours followed by morning tea.  Highlights are the internationally accredited Dryland Eucalyptus Arboretum, Sensory Garden, Pollinator Beds, the Mixed Garden Beds with Southern African, Mediterranean, Western & South Australian, Californian, Central and South American, Bushfoods and Victorian Volcanic Plains indigenous plants.    Tour will be followed by refreshments at the Depot. Nursery will be open for plant purchases.  Suggest arriving by 9.45am

National Sustainability Festival MBG Guided Tour
Friends Of The Melton Botanic Garden

During the National Sustainability Festival enjoy a guided walking tour through the northern section of the Melton Botanic Garden to see plants that tolerate a dry climate and low water requirements.  See sustainability principles and re-purposing by the Friends in the depot and garden. The gentle tour is about 90 minutes.   The tour commences at the Depot with refreshments served at the end of the tour at around 11.30am.  The Friends nursery will open for plant sales from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Garden highlights are the natural features, the Dryland Eucalyptus Arboretum, WA and SA garden beds, Bushfoods Garden, Sensory Garden, Southern African, Mediterranean Garden, Californian, Central and South American Garden, and the indigenous plantings along Ryans Creek and beside the lake.
